From quizzes to dinners, the White Hat community works tirelessly to support this vital service, helping to ensure that the Childline can continue to answer calls from children who need their help.

Eskenzi PR White Hat, Purple Hair – July 2020
This year the Marketing team at Eskenzi PR, headed up by White Hat’s very own Neil Stinchcombe, is raising vital funds for NSPCC’s Childline by dying their hair purple! Every contribution has the potential to change lives, no matter how small and so far the team have raised an incredible £697.

SASIG Gala Natter – 18th June 2020
SASIG Events was due to hold the much-loved and much-anticipated SASIG Annual Gala Dinner at the RAF Club on Tuesday 14 July 2020, but sadly had to postpone the event due to Covid-19. However, in the spirit of the dinner, SASIG instead organised the first ever virtual SASIG Gala Natter on Thursday 18 June, attended by members of the UK’s cybersecurity community all in aid of Childline. Senior executives, academics, government representatives and those who have helped and supported SASIG over the past year attended and the event raised an amazing £7,706, allowing over 1900 calls to be answered. A huge thank you to everyone at SASIG for their incredible continued support of White Hat and Childline!
Cyber House Party – 3rd June 2020
On Wednesday 3 June Sean Atkinson, Chris Hepple, Clive Room and Marc Avery, teamed up with the White Hat Ball, Infosecurity Group and ClubCISO, to celebrate 25 years of Infosecurity Europe and to raise money for two great causes, Childline and AgeUK. Cyber House Party brought together some of the industry’s key speakers for informative, light-hearted sessions as well as performances from some of your very own industry DJ’s, followed by BBC Radio 1 star Danny Howard! The evening was a huge success and raised over £3,000 for Childline and Age UK’s vital services.
Prudential’s Virtual Quiz – May 2020
In May, long term White Hat supporter Prudential, answered the call from the NSPCC’s ‘Still Here for Children’ emergency Covid-19 appeal, organising and running the Prudential Virtual Quiz! Championed by committee member Mark Logsdon, the quiz raised over £200 for Childline and helped to spread the word of Childline’s services and how they were adapting to the challenges of Covid-19.
